STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. You must ensure that licences and club memberships (if applicable) are to be kept up to date.

  2. Work towards the attainment of his/her potential in cooperation with the instructor and fellow students.

  3. Maintain high standards in personal health and hygiene, conductive to sporting excellence and in regard for fellow students.

  4. Never argue with a fellow student. If there is a disagreement it is your responsibility to approach your club instructor.

  5. Never argue with an instructor. If there is a disagreement it is your responsibility to lodge an official complaint to the Chief Instructor, Shaun Lanham.

  6. Control your temper and exercise sportsmanlike behaviour at all times during training, gradings and competition. Accept victory and defeat with dignity and grace.

  7. The instructor should be notified of any injury or illness, to ensure the safety of the student and fellow students.

  8. Endeavour to regularly improve and upgrade knowledge and professionalism as a representative of Inner Strength Martial Arts Accademy.

  9. Conscientiously work towards the positive promotion of Karate-do in the community.

  10. Behave in a dignified manner whilst representing the Bearwood Karate Club in any capacity and that personal conduct will always be such as to uphold and not injure the standing and reputation of Bearwood Karate Club.

  11. Refrain from the misuse of any official position for personal gain byway of exaggerated or unsubstantiated claims, fraudulent practice or sexual harassment.

  12. Support and encourage the ideal of good sportsmanship at all times.

  13. No unnecessary talking or running about is permitted during training.

  14. When demonstrating for, or upon receiving instruction from the instructor, students shall acknowledge with a standing BOW and all commands are carried out quickly.

  15. When training with a partner, self-discipline, mutual trust and respect for one’s partner are essential to safe practice.

  16. Do not be afraid to ask questions of your instructor or senior grade.

 

Etiquette is a code of conduct essential to the proper practice of the Martial Arts; without it their meaning becomes meaningless
